You lot might be wondering, "So what in tarnation is this Mon Poll thing anyway!?"

Well, it isn't exactly a poll. It's more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I've been putting out to readers every Mon morning for the by seven years. (Information technology's similar a kickstart for your brain.) I've always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I promise you enjoy reading mine.

1. How often do yous venture out of your makeup condolement zone?
   Maybe twice a calendar week… Or sometimes 3. Fairly often, I guess, just not as often as I'd like. Heck, though, if I had all the time in the earth, I'd go cadet wild. I'd be trying something new every day, like a new eyeshadow placement or a unlike chroma technique, because what would it matter? If I had unlimited time, even if something turned out looking absolutely hideous, I'd but wipe it off and commencement fresh.

   Ane new thing I've been doing a lot lately are quick timed heart looks of five or ten minutes simply to see if I can exercise 'em, because, truth be told, I'k naturally prone to dilly-dallying.

   Last Saturday I tried this five-minute makeup expect by Lisa Eldridge, and actually did the dang thang in five minutes! The simply thing I didn't do was the spot concealing, which I swapped out for a black tight-line along my upper lashes instead, because that'south how I ringlet, yo.

2. What'due south a makeup, skin intendance or hair care production that's been rocking your earth lately?
   Ooh! Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Jump Water ($eighteen), which I used last Saturday instead of MAC Set up+.

   My skin'southward been very dry lately because information technology gets freakishly windy out here in Novato every fall. (It knocked my favorite flower planter off our deck the other night.) And the vampiric wind sucks every molecule of moisture from my pare, especially subsequently I go for my daily walk.

   I wanted to attempt this Avene spray because I'd heard that information technology's supposed to be soothing and great for sensitive skin, and it is! I'll use it right when I commencement my whole makeup process (before putting anything on). I spray it directly on my bare skin, and so I also like to spray information technology on my face over again after I'chiliad done, like after powdering, bronzing, blushing, etc., because it also takes everything downward a notch so my confront makeup looks less similar block frosting.

   'Tis expert stuff!

3. What are you wearing on your nails right meow?
   The remnants of final week's RMS Beauty Nail Polish mani with flossy orange Curious and shimmery aureate Solar.

   I totally intended to do my nails last night and get with something nighttime and dramatic, but I barbarous comatose watching TV on the couch, whoops!

4. When you take breaks during the workday (I hope yous take breaks), do yous like to take them with someone else, or do y'all adopt to spend the time alone?
   Ya know…it kind of depends on whether I'k hormonal, haha! Ordinarily, I'd always rather have my breaks with a friend, but when I'm really moody, I think it'due south improve for anybody involved if I take them by myself. 🙂

   Fo' reals, though. I greatly admired her long and sleeky brown hair…
